SERVICE 04

Preclinical and Translational Research Support

Biomarkers, clinical sample data and antibody drug strategy; in vivo and in vitro study design. Target assessment, sample size, manuscript support.

When you need this

  • A study is about to start and the protocol and sample size aren't settled.
  • In vivo and in vitro results don't agree, and you need to know whether the problem is in the design or the analysis.
  • The program is moving toward the clinic and needs a biomarker strategy.
  • An antibody program needs a data-based assessment of the target and strategy.
  • A manuscript is ready to submit and someone needs to own the analysis.

METHODS

What we do

Biomarkers and clinical sample data

We screen and assess biomarkers using clinical sample data, and map the results back to mechanism and clinical context.

Expression heatmap and survival curves

Samples grouped by risk; Kaplan–Meier curves with the log-rank p-value.

Illustrative heatmap of 24 genes across 60 samples grouped by risk, beside Kaplan–Meier survival curves showing poorer survival in the high-risk group, with the log-rank p-value shown. Synthetic data.
ILLUSTRATIVE · Not real client data

Antibody drug strategy

A data-based assessment of the target to inform strategic decisions in antibody programs.

Study design and interpretation

Design and interpretation of in vivo and in vitro studies, including sample size calculated before the study starts, not after.

Manuscript support

Support with methods, figures and results sections.

DELIVERABLES

QUESTIONS WE HEAR

Questions R&D teams bring us

"How many animals per group do we need in the next study to have enough statistical power?"

"Our in vitro and in vivo results point in different directions. Is it the study design or the analysis?"

"This antibody program is heading to the clinic. How should we choose and validate biomarkers?"
